Governance
The CIC establishes strategic direction and identifies synergies in matters of common interest to the Constituent Societies, to enhance the image of the chemical sciences and engineering with all sectors of the public and to deliver common services to individual members.
The voting members of the Board of Directors are the elected officers of the Institute and the Presidents of the Societies.

Bylaws
The CIC and its Societies each have By-laws by which they govern.
Financial Statements
CIC Financial Statements are posted on the Web site at least six weeks prior to the next CIC Annual General Meeting.
Standing Committees
The CIC has two Standing Committees:  The Finance Committee and the Fellowship Committee.
