Purpose of the Institute
 
 

Becoming a Member

 

The purpose of The Chemical Institute of Canada is:

  • To establish a strategic direction and identify synergism in matters of common interest to the Constituent Societies: the Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC), the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSChE) and the Canadian Society for Chemical Technology (CSCT);

  • To promote the common scientific and technical interests of the Constituent Societies;

  • To enhance the image of the chemical sciences and engineering with all sectors of the public;

  • To deliver common services to each Constituent Societies; and

  • To deliver common services to the individual members of the Constituent Societies.

Code of Ethics
CIC Code of Ethics as approved by the Board of Directors in March 1996. It is honoured by the Constituent Societies.
