Relations
The CIC and
Constituent Society Board members regularly meet with federal MPs, cabinet
ministers and senior federal government
bureaucrats through the partnership groups to promote the importance of
increased research and innovation for the well-being of Canadian society.
Calling upon its extensive membership base and Subject Divisions, the CIC
has historically represented, and continues to
represent, the viewpoints of chemical
professionals in federal and provincial regulations.

The CIC and its Constituent
Societies are active in both the Partnership Group for
Science and Engineering (PAGSE) and The Canadian
Consortium for Research (CCR). The Canadian Society
for Chemistry also joins forces
with the Canadian Association of
Physicists (CAP) and the Canadian Federation of Biological
Sciences (CFBS) as The Tri-Society, a group dedicated to
delivering unified scientific community
messages to the federal government. |

The Canadian
Consortium for Research
The CIC partners with CCR to represent researchers in all disciplines across
Canada to raise funding for research in all sectors and to support post-secondary education. |

The CSC joins forces with the Canadian Association of Physicists
(CAP) and the Canadian Federation of Biological Sciences (CFBS) as The
Tri-Society, a group dedicated to delivering unified scientific
community messages to the federal government. All three Societies are members of
PAGSE and CCR. |
