Chemistry Week
Events are carried out in all 10
Canadian provinces and 3 territories highlighting chemical
professions and educating the public about the positive aspects of
chemistry.

Extra-curricular youth activities related to Canadian science and
technology are held across the country.

CIC National High School
Chemistry Examination
An annual chemistry competition intended for the top 10 percent of the
best secondary school students in Canada, to help encourage the study of
chemistry.

Canadian Chemistry and
Physics Olympiad
The Canadian Chemistry and Physics
Olympiads organization aims to identify pre-university students who have a
talent for chemistry and to prepare the best of them for
participation in the
International
Chemistry Olympiad.

Canadian Chemistry Milestones
The CIC presents educational posters
which were displayed at the "Milestones of Canadian Chemistry in the 20th Century" exhibit, held at the Canadian Society for Chemistry Conference and
Exhibition in Calgary, AB, in 2000. |
Canadian Chemical Landmarks
The CIC's Canadian Chemical Landmark plaques are established to recognize
Canada's scientific and technical heritage by acknowledging historically
important achievements in chemical sciences and engineering and encouraging
the preservation of Canadian sites connected with these achievements. |
Canadian Science and Engineering Hall of Fame
The Canadian Science and Engineering Hall of Fame is a central part of
the "Innovation Canada" exhibition at the Canada Science and Technology
Museum. Here, individuals are honoured whose outstanding scientific or
technological achievements have had long term implications for Canadians. |
