Students
Students play an important role in the Canadian Society for Chemistry.  The Society carries out a variety of activities geared to students.

Student Membership
The Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC) is an organization representing the interests of chemists and biochemists. Through its programs and services, the CSC offers you opportunities for professional growth, career enhancement, and financial benefit.

Benefits of Membership
In addition to the activities of the particular Student Chapter, membership will confer the following benefits:
University and College Chemistry Department Web Sites
Chemistry Student Chapter Web Sites and Contacts
Chemistry Student Chapters or ChemClubs at universities or colleges are affiliated with the Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC).  Student Chapters interact with Local Sections, Divisions or through CSC's national office when setting up their programming for regular events or for special events such as Undergraduate Student Conferences or Career Nights.  The CSC is also a link between other chemical related Student Chapters.
Administrative Contacts
Society contacts responsible for Student Affairs from January 2004 to May 2005.
Student Conferences
CSC regional undergraduate conferences are held annually in 4 regions: Atlantic; Québec; Southwestern Ontario and Western. Local and other regional undergraduate and graduate conferences are also held at varying times.
Student Awards
CSC graduate and undergraduate students may apply for CIC and CSC awards and scholarships.  These awards are national, regional through Local Sections or Divisional Awards.
Graduate Studies
Links with Canadian graduate chemistry and chemical engineering programs.
Student Handbook
The CSC has prepared a handbook to assist Student Chapters with how to set up executives, run meetings, types of events and other aspects of administration.  It also provides contact information on the CSC and information about the existing programs.
