Students play an important role in the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSChE).  The Society carries out a variety of activities geared to students.

Student Membership
The Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSChE) is an organization representing the interests of chemical engineers. Through its programs and services, the CSChE offers you opportunities for professional growth, career enhancement, and financial benefit.

Benefits of Membership
In addition to the activities of the particular Student Chapter, membership will confer the following benefits:
University Chemical Engineering Department Web Sites
Chemical Engineering Chapter Web Sites and Contacts
Chemical Engineering Student Chapters or ChemEngClubs at universities are affiliated with the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSChE).  Student Chapters interact with Local Sections, Divisions or through CSChE's national office when setting up their programming for regular events or for special events such as Undergraduate Student Conference programmes or Career Nights.  The CSChE is also a link between other chemical related Student Chapters.
Administrative Contacts
Society contacts responsible for Student Affairs from January 2004 to May 2005.
Student Conferences
Student Chapters of the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering organize student conferences locally at which speakers are invited to present information relating to a career in chemical engineering. These conferences often include social events and provide a great opportunity to meet fellow students. Nationally, the students focus on setting up a major program at the Canadian Chemical Engineering Conference.
Student Awards
CSChE undergraduate and graduate students may apply for CIC and CSChE awards and scholarships and participate in the design competition.  These awards are national, regional through Local Sections or Divisional Awards.
Student Handbook
The CSChE has prepared a handbook to assist Student Chapters with how to set up executives, run meetings, types of events and other aspects of administration.  It also provides contact information on the CSC and information about the existing programs.
